While in the communism times in Romania, the good books were somehow prohibited and only a part of them were conditioned by buying the communism propaganda ones, somehow I was always frustrated that I couldn’t find too many books in our own family’s library, although we had a good one, my late father was a Romanian language high school teacher so he did everything he could to choose and to buy the good books! I loved school and I wasn’t a nerd! 😀 I loved everything new and I was always attracted to the science part! (I have started to hide in my room when I was about 10 years old and started to do the experiments from the books 😀 ) ! I will always thank to my mom that she always took care of my balance and she was kicking me out of my room to get out to play with the kids! 🙂
When the Romanian Revolution from 1989 liberated the Romanians from the communist regime, I was 14 years old, so I got admitted through exam into the high school and the book stores started to be filled with more interesting books for me too. That’s how I started to go almost each day to the book store and to open books and to start reading them.
One day I went to the book store that was in one of the ways from coming back from school to home and I have found a dictionary called Quotes Dictionary, took me with everything I was and I have started to pass by the book store each day to read as many quotes I could stay there until I was hunger enough to go home 🙂 ! I don’t know why I have never told to my parents about this and why I didn’t asked them to buy for me the book but I loved my ritual of coming back from school and my stop to the book store to read more in the Quotes Dictionary!
